About Rachel Hadas...Rachel Hadas

Rachel Hadas is the author of numerous collections of poetry and essays, as well as a translator whose verse renderings of Euripides's two Iphigenia plays were published by Northwestern University Press in 2018. Her other recent books include Love and Dread and Poems for Camilla (both poetry), and Piece by Piece (essays). The recipient of honors including a Guggenheim Fellowship, the O. B. Hardison Award from the Folger Shakespeare Library, and a fellowship at the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the New York Public Library, Rachel Hadas is Board of Governors Professor of English at Rutgers University-Newark, where she has taught for many years.
